A well-known executive with an MBA from the University of Wales and a BSc degree from the University of Cape Town, he has also completed an Advanced Management Programme, Advanced Business Management Programme and Advanced Certificate in Purchasing and Materials for both Imports and Exports.
His impressive achievements include the introduction of strategic sourcing to a leading parastatal where he achieved R 7.5 billion in savings over a three year period. He successfully negotiated multi-billion Rand capital expansion projects and was involved in the development of CIPS, which he subsequently introduced to the organisation, leading to some 1 000 people being trained in strategic sourcing methods.
Having established the competitive bidding process to the value of R400 billion, he led the implementation of Enterprise Development (which saw five new companies being formed) and developed and implemented the Procurement and Supply Chain management strategies for a global mining entity.
Specialising in strategy design, supply chain management, commodities trading, as well as logistics, and distribution within the FMCG, mining, energy and telecommunication industries, he has an impressive record of creating innovative advancements.
